16 hours unbillable

OT is 1.25x BR

The client can cancel 4shifts per 13 weeks

PRINCIPLE DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES

Providesholistic care for postoperative patients including those who havehad orthopedic bariatric urologic or general surgical

procedures

Assesses patients asappropriate to the scope of care the nurse will provide.Assessments may include : physical psychosocial learning

needs and barriers need to be related to age / culture anddischarge planning.

Establishes nursingdiagnoses based on results of assessments and in collaboration withthe interdisciplinary team.

Plans careaccording to identified diagnoses and needs. Updates plan of careas appropriate.

Implements / performsindividualized care based on the nursing care plan and the nursesrole with the patient. This care may include but not

be limited to :

Assisting withactivities of daily living including fall risk management and safepatient handling.

MedicationAdministration

Skin assessment / woundcare

Pain management

Operation / manipulation of biomedical and other patient care andtesting equipment including but not limited to infusion pumpspatient

transfer equipment cardiopulmonarymonitors invasive catheters and drains thermoregulation devicesmeasurement devices

medication dispensingcabinets and external therapeutic devices.

Assisting the physician and other licensed independentpractitioners with invasive and noninvasive procedures.

Teaching patients and their families about currentillness medical tests medication general healthcare illness anddisease prevention

and wellnesspromotion.

Providing appropriate assignmentsupervision and direction to unlicensed assistive personnel toensure optimum patient care.

Providinginterdisciplinary coordination and facilitation of overallcare.

Documents patient assessmentsinterventions care and teaching in the electronic medical record.Documents in paper format as

necessary.Documentation is complete concise timely and legible.

Evaluate care provided and communicate patient status andresults of care to the interdisciplinary team.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• 2 years of Med Surg experience REQUIRED
• Must havepediatric experience REQUIRED
• EPIC experience REQUIRED
• Certifications dont need to be active at thetime of submission but must be willing toobtain
• OR license doesntneed to be active at the time of submission but must be willing toobtain
