Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele / IMC Float Pool position requiring recent Epic experience and advanced Tele / IMC skills.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in the Float Pool covering Med / Surg Tele and Intermediate Care (IMC) units in a hospital setting
  • Must be able to float between Med / Surg (MS) and IMC units as assigned
  • Patient ratios typically range from 1 : 4 to 1 : 6
  • Cares for adult patients with acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, severe CHF, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and trauma
  • Night shift schedule (3x12 hours), 19 : 00 to 07 : 00
  • May encounter a varied patient population with complex and acute clinical conditions
  • Mandatory completion of online modules during orientation and annually, with module hours factored into onboarding
  • Time-off requests (RTO) must be disclosed prior to consideration
  • Two professional references required
  • First-time travelers are accepted

  • Active MD or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • At least 2 years of recent Telemetry experience in a hospital setting required
  • At least 2 years of prior experience on an IMC unit required
  • Recent Med / Surg Telemetry experience required
  • Recent EPIC EMR experience required
  • Flu shot and 2-step PPD required
