Part-time Faculty Positions
DePaul University invites expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part Time Faculty to teach courses in a variety of disciplines across all 10 colleges and schools.
Individuals may enter expressions of interest by submitting their credentials to any posting for which they are qualified to teach.
Postings are organized by college / school and department. Screening of individuals in the pool is ongoing, depending on curricular need and funding.
Individuals will be contacted by the department if they reach the finalist stage for teaching a particular course or set of courses.
The pool will remain in place until the closing date specified in the posting details; those interested in remaining in the pool beyond that time must resubmit.
All individuals in the pool will be notified by email when the posting is closed.

The Department of Health Sciences at DePaul University in Chicago invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position starting September 2025.
We seek candidates broadly trained in Nutrition Science and / or related fields. A PhD or equivalent degree is required;
post-doctoral and previous teaching experience are preferred. Our well-equipped research and teaching facilities include a staffed animal care facility and biosafety level 2 capacity.
Start-up funds are available.
Our department serves a diverse student body of over 500 undergraduates pursuing a BS degree and more than 40 graduate students in our Master of Public Health program.
Our faculty train students to address individual and community health challenges using a collaborative approach that combines natural and social scientific perspectives.
Applicants must have a strong commitment to educating a diverse student body and an interest in contributing to a multidisciplinary department.
Our faculty collaborate with external partners in Chicago and beyond, as well as across university departments.
Teaching responsibilities will include development and instruction of nutrition-related courses and new courses aligned with the candidate's expertise, as well as core undergraduate courses in the department.
Faculty typically teach 6 courses per academic year (spread across 3 quarters) and are eligible for a pre-tenure research leave.
Applicants are expected to develop an active and productive research program that involves students and results in peer-reviewed publications.
Faculty are also expected to seek internal and external funding. Service to the department, college and university also is expected.
