Manager or Senior Manager, Corporate Partnership Activation

D.C. United is seeking a highly motivated partnership activation professional with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and consultative approach to take on a manager role in Corporate Partnerships.

Primary responsibility will be the strategic planning, execution, and day-to-day management of D.C. United’s corporate partners.

Full compensation range from $60,000 - $75,000.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage day-to-day relationships and ensure contract fulfillment for assigned portfolio of Corporate Partners.
  • Consistently engage with partners via phone, e-mail, and in-person meetings to build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships.
  • Act as marketing consultant to partner contacts to develop and deliver impactful and measurable campaigns.
  • Work with 3rd party metrics providers (Nielsen, Zoomph) to analyze social media and broadcast performance to produce reporting for partners.
  • Compile and write event-specific recaps as well as bi-annual and season-ending recaps for corporate partners to demonstrate fulfillment and showcase ROI.
  • Coordinate and manage partnership assets for game days including but not limited to : production scripts, LED signage playlists, pre-game activations, halftime promotions, and hospitality experiences.
  • Collaborate with other D.C. United departments including Ticket Sales, Events, Operations, Community Relations, Digital, etc.

  • Plan and execute non-game day events and promotions for partners including but not limited to : clinics, player appearances, hospitality events, and corporate meetings.
  • Track all partnership activation costs and strategically allocate funds to stay within fulfillment budget for each partner account.
  • Regularly support Corporate Sales team with renewal strategies and ideas / solutions for new prospective partners.
  • Assist in planning and execution of department events such as annual Client Trip, Corporate Alliance Events, and hospitality / prospecting functions.
  • Manage internship program including hiring, onboarding, and daily task assignment.
  • Help manage partner activation for company-owned Audi Field events (i.e. Capital Cup, Truth & Service Classic, Unite the District Festival).

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Professional sports activation and / or agency experience a plus.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to take initiative.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple projects at once.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills and customer service-oriented demeanor.
  • Ability to collaborate and build positive relationships within a multitude of business environments.
  • Ability to think creatively as it pertains to developing marketing and activation campaigns.
  • Well organized with consistent attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Comfortable and experienced with public speaking and group presentations.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

SCHEDULE

8 : 30am- 5 : 30pm EST

Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the season schedule.
