Salary range : $31,000 - 34,000
Scope
The Compliance Coordinator position provides an opportunity to make an immediate impact in the compliance department at Boise Cascade Company.
This role has several varying programs to support and contribute to : ethics and compliance program, data privacy, environmental compliance, and sustainability.
The Compliance Coordinator position will equip you with the knowledge and tools to help you succeed and add immediate value as you pursue your career goals.
Responsibilities
- Research external compliance factors industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices
- Participate in data breach response tabletops and compliance-related work groups (i.e., environmental, sustainability, etc.) as appropriate
- Support Compliance Department projects, activities, and content management efforts
- Create and maintain departmental reporting
- Assist with implementation, evaluation, and enhancement of departmental systems
- Support facilitation of department objectives and implement solutions to address important industry risks
- Help identify and recommend improvement plans to address inconsistencies, compliance gaps, and inefficiencies
- Assist in the development communications and training content
- Perform administrative support functions for the staff in our Corporate Compliance team.
- Organize and manage regulatory research, information, and data sets.
- Perform duties, such as calendar management; schedule and plan meetings; record meeting minutes, draft correspondence, make travel arrangements;
write, edit, proofread documents, presentations, and reports; and assist with projects
- Respond to internal and external customer needs
- Assist with other tasks and duties as necessary
- Understand external compliance factors industry trends, regulatory requirements, best practices, and expectations of important external partners
- Understand internal factors existing governance, organizational structure, culture, opportunities to improve, and organizational capabilities
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
- Strong Microsoft software applications experience (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint).
- Experience with travel management applications (i.e. Concur)
- Excellent verbal, written and organization skills with strong attention to detail
- College degree or equivalent work experience in related job position (corporate compliance, information privacy, or internal audit, human resources, or health care)
- Ability to independently research regulatory requirements and track changes in legislation
- Working knowledge of data privacy program processes, auditing protocols (SOC1, SOC2, controls and procedures) preferred but not required
