As a Gong Cha shift leader, you’ll be a role model at the store for operational standards. You’ll lead each shift, working alongside a team of tea baristas to deliver quality customer service and expertly-crafted products.
You’ll be working in an environment where you’ll have the ability to positively influence and guide others, maintain an encouraging team environment, and grow your leadership skills.
Job Responsibilities :
- Must be able to take orders accurately via a point-of-sales system in a courteous manner.
- Must maintain the highest quality for both customer service and drinks.
- Must be able to accurately prepare ingredients and make drinks following the instructions of each individual drink request.
- Prepare the kitchen and ensure ingredients are readily available at all times.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Direct employees to ensure the flow of operations runs smoothly.
- Maintain inventory, including stocking inventory and managing the daily inventory count.
- Must be able to unload and organize inventory, which will require lifting boxes.
- Maintain a clean work environment, and properly clean and sanitize the store for closing.
- Must be able to read and follow instructions carefully.
- Must be able to communicate efficiently with upper management and coworkers.
- Must be open to learning new things (especially the latest beverage recipes).
Qualifications :
- Must be a team leader able to guide employees while working under pressure.
- Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Takes initiative and acts as a role model to others.
- Enjoys working in a team, and can positively influence and motivate others.
- Understands how to create a great customer service experience.
- Available to work flexible hours that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and / or holidays, and be on-call to fill in as required.
- At least six (6) months of experience delegating tasks to other employees and / or coordinating the tasks of two (2) or more employees.
- Six (6) months of experience in a position that required constant interacting with and fulfilling the requests of customers.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Meet store operating policies, procedures and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling and store safety and security, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- You must be able to clearly communicate in English. The ability to speak other languages, such as Korean or Chinese, is a plus but not required.
- You must be 18 and over.

Pay : $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
