Job Description :

Caterpillar's Electrification & Energy Solutions division is focused on advanced power systems development with emphasis on electrification. The Battery technology team leads the design and validation of all new battery systems.

The Battery Design & Validation Specialist serves as the subject matter expert for electrical battery system design, FMEA development, and performance validation.

What You Will Do :

  • Act as the technical authority for battery design and validation.
  • Lead and maintain Design FMEAs.
  • Define and oversee battery validation strategies.
  • Develop and manage detailed test plans.
  • Lead test execution, data analysis, and correlation.
  • Identify design weaknesses and recommend corrective actions.
  • Mentor engineers in best practices for FMEA, test planning, and validation execution.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with suppliers and test facilities.
  • Drive continuous improvement in validation processes.
  • Lead prototype builds.

What You Have : Degree Requirement

Bachelors or Master's Degree in Engineering.

Technical Excellence

Experience in battery design, electrical system validation, or reliability engineering.

  • Proven track record in leading battery test and validation programs.
  • Deep understanding of high-voltage electrical safety practices.
  • Proficiency in data acquisition, modeling, and statistical analysis tools.

  • Location : Mossville, IL
  • Domestic relocation assistance is available.
  • This position may require up to 25% travel.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Summary Pay Range : $126,000.00 - $189,000.00
