We’re hiring a driven mortgage Loan Officer Assistant to free up our Loan Officers to originate more loans into the pipeline.

This position will be from the contact to contract phase of the loan with particular emphasis on the pre-approval stage.

Your job will be to work closely with borrowers to expedite their mortgage pre-approval process and ensure everything runs smoothly through going under contract.

Compensation :

$55,000 - $89,000 yearly

Responsibilities :

• Respond to all in-house and customer inquiries regarding transactions and provide quotes when needed to offer exceptional customer service
• Check each document in the loan package for omissions, discrepancies, and inaccurate income calculations and promptly notify the loan originator of any errors
• Create and nurture relationships with both referral partners and borrowers to draw in new business and retain our existing clients
• Serve as the primary contact during the contact to contract phase of the loan process and liaison between clients, referral partners, and the loan officer, and conduct meetings to coordinate any follow-up items
• Coordinate loan application completions, collect all necessary documents (including credit reports), run DU / LP / AUS, send a closing cost worksheet to borrowers, and get the file ready for processing
• Perform pre-approval analysis to match client needs with appropriate loan products
• Daily pending pre-approval pipeline updates to the sales and leadership team

Qualifications :

• Able to accurately analyze income, asset documents, and credit reports, and knows how to structure the information properly for a loan
• Up-to-date NMLS license or willing to get licensed within 90 days
• In-depth knowledge of mortgage loan products (FHA / VA / CONV / USDA) and knowledge of mortgage processes, procedures, and documentation
• At least 2 years of previous experience fulfilling the roles of an LOA / Loan Partner, Processor, Loan Officer and / or Underwriter, 5+ years preferred
• Has lender experience using loan origination software like Encompass LOS
