About the Role :

The Senior Financial Analyst, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager in FP&A, plays a pivotal role in driving critical financial analysis and insights across Revenue and Transaction Costs for Remitly.

This dynamic position offers high visibility, fostering impactful contributions and partnering with senior leaders across the organization to steer strategic decisions and long-term growth.

You Will :

  • Create and own financial models that support decision-making, budgeting, and comparative analysis
  • Develop and maintain metrics to track and analyze key drivers of business performance.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations related to unit economics and growth opportunities to support key business initiatives and strategic planning
  • Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights on variances and corrective actions, understanding key metrics and KPIs
  • Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to inform financial strategies and risk management
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the finance function
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional projects to drive operational efficiencies and enhance financial controls.
  • Communicate complex financial concepts and results to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and concise manner

You Have :

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, accounting or a related field
  • 3+ years of professional experience in a quantitative, financial, accounting, or management consulting role
  • Experience in driver-based financial planning and methodologies
  • A passion for continuous process improvement, automation opportunities and partnership : You take pride in finding areas where your skillset can provide value and make life easier for others
  • A Curious Demeanor : An answer alone is insufficient - you want to know the reasoning, logic and framework supporting the answer
  • Proficiency in data manipulation using tools such as MS Excel, Google Sheets, including complex spreadsheets, functions, and macros;

experience with SQL a plus

A love for analyzing data to identify problems and implement solutions, comfortable with large volumes of complex data and presenting findings to senior management

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $116,000-$145,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
