Automation Engineer
Location : Glenwood, IL
Direct Hire Pay Range : $90,000 - $120,000 (Experience Dependent)
Seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team, playing a key role in leading customer projects and providing innovative solutions for product enhancement.
Responsibilities :
Project Leadership : Lead projects as an expert, ensuring successful execution from concept to completion.
Product and Process Improvement : Enhance product offerings and processes.
Electrical Design : Create electrical schematics, develop new designs, and implement standards.
Programming : Develop PLC, Motion, and HMI programs for various controllers and prototypes.
Vision Systems Integration : Implement vision systems for orientation and feature detection.
Customer Interaction : Collaborate with customers to review plans and formulate installation strategies.
Documentation : Author project documentation, including manuals and lessons.
Travel : Periodic travel for startups, installations, and issue resolution.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience : 5+ years of hands-on electrical engineering design.
Skills : Proficient in electrical design, experience with cyclic rotary motion and Ethernet / IP networks is a plus.
Problem Solving : Identify and solve problems mechanically, electrically, and programmatically.
Communication : Clear and concise communication, both verbally and in writing.
Leadership : Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and project commissioning.
Compliance : Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal codes.
