Pinnergy has an immediate opening for a Field Supervisor in its Midland, TX location.
Responsible for managing the daily operations of our trucking fleet, ensuring safe, timely, and efficient transportation of oil and gas products.
This role involves supervising drivers, coordinating logistics, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
Job duties and responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage a team of truck drivers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
- Schedule and assign routes to drivers, ensuring optimal utilization of the fleet.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for drivers.
- Coordinate with dispatchers, field supervisors, and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitor transportation schedules, adjusting as necessary to meet changing demands and priorities.
- Ensure accurate and timely communication with all stakeholders regarding delivery statuses.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to trucking and hazardous materials transportation.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures, emphasizing safety and environmental responsibility.
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and equipment, ensuring they meet safety standards and maintenance schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, driver hours, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on transportation metrics and performance.
- Investigate and resolve any incidents or accidents, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities for improving transportation efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in trucking technology and logistics.
- Propose and implement process improvements to enhance operational performance.
Education and Experience :
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or related field preferred. OSHA 10 / 30 Certified Trainer.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent organizational and logistical planning abilities.
- Proficient in transportation management systems and related software.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and HAZMAT requirements.
Requirements
- Must always work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in trucking or transportation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within the oil and gas industry.
- Individual must have current Instructor Certifications for first aid / CPR.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be extremely dependable and reliable.
- Must be able to perform duties with little supervision.
