GynoFitMD is a practice located in Gilbert, AZ looking for a responsible, dedicated, and professional medical assistant. We are looking for someone who has at least 1-2 years of back-office experience, GYN preferred and EMR experience.

Hours : Full-time, Monday Friday 8 : 00am-5 : 00 pm. No weekends or evenings.

Essential duties include :

• Capture relevant information about the patient’s health and healthcare experience while rooming patients, taking vitals, administering point-of-care testing, and performing standard age and condition-appropriate screening assessments
• Assist with the coordination of post-visit care by scheduling appointments with specialists, coordinating referrals, and sharing information to the patient’s internal and external care team
• Collaborate with providers to monitor the health of a panel of patients and determine if they are up to date on preventive measures
• Participate in the daily operations of a gynecology and weight management practice, such as answering incoming phone calls, responding to emails, assisting with front desk inquiries, and ensuring the general upkeep and stocking of the clinical space.
• Assists with in-office examinations and medical procedures including LEEP procedures, IUD insertion, colposcopies, and other gynecology procedures.
• Helps physicians examine and treat patients, handing them instruments or materials or performing such tasks as giving injections or removing sutures.
• Counsel patients in the office and on the phone concerning treatment procedures, medications, diets, or physicians' instructions to patients.
• Authorizes drug refills and provides prescription information to pharmacies.
• Cleans and sterilize instruments, dispose of contaminated supplies / Wash, and prepare instruments for autoclave.
• Prepares and administers medications as directed by a physician.
• As needed, operates equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests, contacts medical facilities or departments to schedule patients for tests or admission, inventories, and orders medical, lab, or office supplies or equipment.
• Other back-office duties as assigned*.
• Skilled in organization, customer service, and attention to detail.
• Possess exceptional communication and relational skills.

Physical and Environmental Demands : Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.

Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to one hundred pounds.

Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Pay : $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
