Project Status : This position is 50% remote / 50% on site(s). Union or Union management experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides civil support for national construction projects.
  • Directs administration and training of construction personnel for national projects.
  • Develops standard operating procedures for construction execution to minimize cost and duration of activities.
  • Monitors, evaluates, and reports civil performance of assigned construction projects to the Operations Manager.
  • Recommends project civil staff assignments / teams to the Operations Manager.
  • Acts as liaison between construction and engineering for concrete-related matters.
  • Ensures all construction projects meet client-specified civil quality standards.
  • Supports site superintendents in developing SOPs, man-loaded and equipment-loaded schedules, staging plans, bill of materials, and quality control plans.
  • Leads weekly civil superintendent calls addressing safety, quality, productivity, and resource needs.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with clients, alliance partners, subcontractors, and project teams; communicates lessons learned.
  • Reviews project budget / unit rates with assigned superintendent to ensure alignment with company rules.
  • Coordinates and tracks equipment assignments with site teams and CEFs; maintains updates.
  • Directs corrective action for discipline or performance issues; involves Department and HR as required.
  • Enforces and interprets division and department policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Provides supervision, training, development, and performance management of direct reports.
  • Adheres to safety and quality standards relevant to duties.
  • Identifies and assesses improvement opportunities; champions continuous improvement and supports change management.
  • Promotes staff engagement in continuous improvement activities.
  • Travel to support sites when and where needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of construction supervisory experience within the industrial construction industry.
  • 3 years of experience in civil / dirt projects.
  • Experience in GPS machine control.
  • Industrial construction experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum software capability : Agtek, MS Word, MS Excel.
  • Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in construction or heavy industrial experience preferred, or relevant experience. 3+ years of construction management experience.   • Work Environment :

  • Typical construction site environment with cramped spaces and awkward positions.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, wind, snow, rain, and noise; working near hazardous equipment.
  • Occasional office environment; safety-sensitive position.
