Position Summary
The Center for Black Entrepreneurship (CBE) is seeking a passionate professional, interested in innovation and enjoys working with early-stage founders to transition ideas to the marketplace.
The Program Manager for the LIFT program will report directly to the Executive Director, work collaboratively with Project Workstream Leads, and be responsible for managing project timelines, program execution, and communication with stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have experience in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship to city, regional, and state entities, and preferably within the Atlanta region, HBCU (Historically Black Colleges or Universities) alumni networks;
help recruit diverse innovator teams into the program; work with the Project Lead on Mentorship to recruit mentors; track team progress, and coordinate with CBE leadership and other partners including for program assessment.
That person will also have experience in project management and the ability to work with multiple constituencies.
NOTE : This is a multi-year grant-funded position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Program Recruiting, Selection, and Onboarding
Develop marketing campaign in coordination with ED of the CBE
Recruit participants, trainers, mentors, and experts
Support program participant selection
Coordinate with network partners to expand program reach and impact
Program Delivery & Engagement
Manage and execute on program strategy, goals, timeline, and calendar
Organize the delivery of training and mentoring sessions
Align program design to participant needs
Connect founders to helpful resources
Act as point of contact for program participants needing support or resources
Program Planning & Reporting
Provide input to program framework with the guidance from management team
Prepare assessment questionnaires
Analyze survey results and consolidate as summary reports
Monitor program budget as needed
Communication and Reporting
Create and share key communications to program participants, such as newsletter and session reminders / follow-ups, and identify opportunities to support participant engagement
Be a point of contact for program participants needing support or help accessing resources
Prepare project reports
Required Qualifications This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of entrepreneurship or entrepreneurship support experience.
Must have excellent organizational skills and detail-orientation. Must have strong written, and oral communication skills.
Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Must be able to work independently and under pressure, managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to manage multiple projects with changing deadlines.
High level of professionalism needed.
Tact, diplomacy, and the ability to exercise discretion and judgment in matters that are sensitive and confidential is required.
Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree is preferred.
Experience working in innovation & entrepreneurship ecosystem. (e.g., incubators, accelerators, advisory services, etc.) Demonstrated commitment to DEI.
