Description
Assists the OR Materials Manager with the overall management of all perioperative supplies to ensure overall efficiency and functionality of OR supply maintenance and ordering.
Orders, tracks, and handles discrepancies, substitutes, and backorders for non-stock specialty supplies to ensure the OR is appropriately stocked with supplies.
Works collaboratively with the materials manager to achieve perioperative goals related to inventory control, cost and efficiency, maintaining appropriate par levels, adjusting supplies based on clinical needs.
Collaborates with clinical staff and physicians to ensure efficiency of the OR supply system.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
Experience
2 Years direct experience with Materials Management in the Operating Room or other procedural area (Required)
General experience and knowledge of automated materials management systems, supply storage, inventory methods, and purchasing (Required)
1 Year experience in a supervisory or lead role (Preferred)
General experience with PeopleSoft (Preferred)
