Description
Essential Job Functions
- Drives a box truck up to ten ton in size.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures outlined by the supervisor.
- Perform general clerical duties. Perform computer related tasks using Microsoft Office software.
- Maintain consolidated information and paperwork related to all supplies received and distributed.
- Loads and unloads shipments of supplies. Ensures proper storage of those supplies. Maintains supply room area in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Perform research and a variety of special projects and / or ad hoc duties prescribed by the supervisor.
- Perform functions of supply manager on a temporary basis such as during PTO periods.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 year of prior experience working as a Truck Driver is preferred or any combination of education and training which demonstrates the knowledge and experience to perform the work.
- Must possess a Commercial Drivers License.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to drive up to a 10-ton motor vehicle with standard transmission.
- Considerable knowledge of supply accountability and reporting requirements.
- Ability to conduct minor repairs to buffers, ladders, and other janitorial equipment.
- Ability to carry out assigned projects to their completion.
- Considerable knowledge of the hazards in custodial work and safety procedures.
- Ability to use hands to finger, handles, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to climb, bend, squat, lift and carry objects ranging from 10-60 pounds. Occasionally push objects up to 100 pounds;
prolong walking up to 90%.
Ability to be trained to perform functions of supply manager on a temporary basis such as during PTO periods.
Working Condition
- Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.
- Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
- Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
- Possess valid drivers license and possess / maintain a good driving record.
- If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
