The Office of Information Technology (OIT) provides information technology leadership and support to the Georgia Institute of Technology, working in partnership with academic and business units to meet the unique needs of a leading research university.
OIT serves as the primary source of enterprise-wide information technology and telecommunications services in support of students, faculty, staff, and researchers.
Job Summary
Responsible for assisting in support activities related to all ERP support areas. Responsible for the functional service support activities of campus users and central offices as well as supporting the priorities laid out by business owners.
Serves as a key resource to ensure quality of service and identify service requirements to safeguard support of evolving business needs.
In addition, will collaborate with campus users and process owners to understand business challenges and identify how to appropriately engage with ERP system capabilities, reporting, or process improvement.
Also, collaborate with end users, process owners, and change management to identify appropriate training, communication, and support to the Institute's financial users.
This position will interact on a regular basis with : Department managers, staff, senior leadership, data stewards, process owners, Technology Governance Committee, cyber security, and campus users.
This position typically will advise and counsel : OIT Senior Leadership, business owners, and ERP staff. This position will supervise : N / A.
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Respond to, escalate, and troubleshoot service transactional issues leveraging features of the Workday Financials application.
Job Duty 2 -
Participate in project execution activities associated with prioritized projects including working with project support process owners, project teams, and change management to meet delivery schedule estimates.
Job Duty 3 -
Collaborate with business owners and partners to identify, understand, and document requirements for new functionality or reports within Workday.
Identify solutions and testing for varying business problems and security related needs. Obtain functional stakeholder sign-off of solutions or deployed items.
Job Duty 4 -
Assist ERP System Analyst Lead in the translation of business needs through planning, designing, testing, and deployment of integrating finance solutions including systems, integrations, data warehouse, and ad hoc reporting solutions in support of related projects that enable our Finance and Accounting business teams.
Job Duty 5 -
Test system changes and streamlined processes including UAT testing, regression testing, end-to-end testing, and parallel testing in the sandbox environment.
Job Duty 6 -
Assist in leading the support, communication, and training for end users surrounding Workday Financials with an emphasis on accuracy and standard methodologies.
Job Duty 7 -
Provide ongoing user support including troubleshooting and resolution of functional / transactional system issues.
Job Duty 8 -
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience
Four to five years of job-related experience.
