Job Description

Client has won another big project for the Gilbert Schools District. Similar to the last school project, they will have a team of cable technicians go into 5 different schools in Gilbert to install, terminate, dress, label & test cables.

They will first be installing all new cables into the school, then pull out all the old cabling.

They are looking for 8 cable technicians / pullers that have commercial cabling experience. (If techs have done this work in other schools that is a huge plus).

Main tasks : Install, terminate, dressing, labeling & testing (fluke tester) of mostly CAT 6 cables.

Looking for reliable & efficient techs that will show up and work hard. If candidates do well, company will be inviting them to join their company full time after 6 months.

PROJECT SCHEDULE : Techs will need to be available for these schedule changes.

START DATE : 4 / 11 or 4 / 18

2nd SHIFT (3pm-11pm) : April- 5 / 30 (Off on Labor Day)

1st SHIFT (7am-3pm) : 5 / 31-6 / 18

2nd SHIFT (3pm-11pm) : 6 / 19- End of Project (October / November)

8-10 HOUR DAYS. OT WILL BE AVAILABLE

Techs need to have : Basic hand tools; screw drivers, punch-down tools, snips, crescent wrench, cordless drill.

PPE to bring : Hardhat (no stickers), work boots, safety glasses and safety gloves.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Physically strong, reliable, have their own vehicle.

Have to be clean, not wearing work clothes with dirt & grim all over.

Work Environment

Large school buildings. Mostly empty because of summer break or after hours, but occasionally will be some staff near by.
