We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Palos Verdes, California. In this key role, you will manage a crucial project involving the transition of a chart of accounts from an existing structure to a new one.
This role requires expertise in QuickBooks, bank and credit card reconciliations, and journal entries.
Responsibilities :
- Perform detailed bank and credit card reconciliations in QuickBooks Online to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare and post journal entries to accurately reflect financial transactions
- Recode transactions to align with a new chart of accounts, ensuring all entries are accurately categorized
- Oversee the transition of the chart of accounts, reassigning and recoding transactions for a new accounting structure
- Reconstruct and verify financial records for the year 2023, ensuring all transactions are accurate and compliant
- Handle detailed processes, particularly in areas such as payroll, legal accounting, subscriptions, health insurance, and rent
- Assist with the backlog of work and help meet upcoming tax deadlines
- Work closely with a team of professionals to maintain accurate customer credit records
- Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
- Proficiency in account reconciliation
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
- Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Ability to perform bank reconciliations
- Strong bookkeeping skills
- Proficiency in data entry
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with month-end close procedures
- Experience in managing payroll
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
