- Process full cycle payroll
- Review timecards
- Maintain payroll files for two entities
- Administer multi-entity, multi-state and multi-cycle payroll for 900+ employees
- Stay current on payroll systems to achieve alignment with HR & Benefits
- Prepare relevant weekly payroll reports including General Ledger
- Support all internal and external audits related to payroll
- Maintain payroll information with the highest confidentiality
- Update payroll records by reviewing changes in exemptions, job titles, and department transfers
- Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, company paid disability, and nontaxable wages
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and enforcing adherence to requirements
- Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge with payroll systems
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Perform related duties as assigned
- Review employee timecards to clarify any punch discrepancies
- Communicate with Human Resources when necessary to obtain missing approval signatures
- Maintain and review Manual Check Log
- Send reports to accounting weekly
- Maintain all data relating to payroll and make necessary changes as required
- Assist Human Resources Manager in collecting and filing meal waivers
- Assist the Payroll & Benefits Manager with special projects, needs and research (including corporate and 401k auditors, census requests as well as Workers Comp needs, W2 preparation and distribution)
- Responsible for the full scope of accurate and timely, beginning to end, weekly payroll processing for the company in the absence of the Payroll and Benefits Manager
- Issue reports related to payroll and employee benefits, as required, in an accurate and timely manner
- Maintain and update employee benefits information in the payroll system
- Reactivate employee benefits for employees returning from leave
- Process employment verification requests
- Assist employees with benefit questions or issues
- Maintain records regarding employee leaves of absence, retirement and resignation
- Any other duties assigned by the Payroll and Benefits Manager or Human Resources Manager
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties
- Assist with any payroll projects as assigned
- Provide quality customer service to all employees at all levels of the company in a timely manner
- Assist with the research and resolution of payroll issues in a timely manner
- Enter and update garnishment, child support orders in payroll system
- Process HR changes in ADP Workforce Now (WFN)
- Other duties as assigned by Manager
QUALIFICATIONS :

- Must be committed to working 8 hours per day, 5 days per week and be available for overtime during month-end, quarter-end and year end
- Experience in Custom Reporting

- ADP Workforce Now payroll system experience preferred
- Minimum of five years of experience processing payroll
- Knowledge of Multistate payroll
- Understanding of the processing of garnishments
- Proficient knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Understanding of wage and hour law (multistate)
- Basic knowledge of labor law
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Completes tasks pursuant to supervisors’ priorities
- Maintains smooth workflow
- Communicates effectively with public and co-workers
- Effective writing skills
- Works cooperatively with co-workers

The base salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position.
Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range.
Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long-term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
