- Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age / type of patient population served
- Knowledgeable and sensitive to patients' rights in the delivery of care
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner appropriate to the developmental age of the patient
Job Description :
- Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served
- Ensure that quality care is provided safely and efficiently, consistent with the unit's standards of care
- Demonstrate performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization
- Treat staff, physicians, patients, and families with respect and consideration
- Operate in a clean, well-lit, ventilated, smoke-free environment with potential exposure to infectious diseases and X-rays
- Handle emergency / crisis situations, and extended periods of standing and walking
- Engage in physical activities such as positioning, pushing, transferring patients, or equipment
- Perform tasks that may involve reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
- Maintain visual and auditory acuity within normal or correctable limits
- Employ manual dexterity and fine motor coordination in practice
