Education & Experience :
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing with application for current licensure in the State of New Jersey.
All GN’s hired after June 1, 2022, must either (1) have a BSN or MSN in nursing from a CCNE or NLNAC accredited program or foreign equivalent at the time they are hired or rehired : or (2) enroll within 6 months of hire or rehire in CCNE or NLNAC accredited BSN or MSN program (or foreign equivalent) with a graduation date that falls on or before the employee’s third employment anniversary date.
Certification / Licensure :
Graduate nurse must take licensure exam within 60 days of hire. If the applicant does not pass after the first attempt, they may remain in the current GN position until the second attempt which would be 45 days after the first attempt.
The second exam attempt must be scheduled within 30 days after the graduate is eligible to reschedule. If a second failure occurs, the graduate nurse will be moved to an unlicensed position until license is obtained.
- American Heart Association BLS required.
- American Heart Association ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
- Critical Care Course required within 6 months of hire if PCU, SD, ICU, ED.
- Dysrhythmia course required within 3 months of hire
