Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.
Pay Range : $32+ / hour (Weekly Pay)
Position Type : Full-Time (33hours per week)
Caseload Type : Grade 6th-8th
Responsibilities :
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) specifically for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and growth.
Provide differentiated instruction and adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students effectively.
Collaborate with related services staff (Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Speech-Language Pathologist) to integrate therapies into daily classroom activities.
Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with parents / guardians about student achievements and areas for improvement.
Utilize a variety of instructional techniques, materials, and assistive technology to enhance student learning and independence.
Monitor and support students' social-emotional development, behavior management, and self-regulation skills.
Incorporate adaptive equipment and modify classroom environments as needed to facilitate student participation and accessibility.
Qualifications :
Master's degree in Special Education preferred.
Valid state teaching certificate or credential in Special Education.
Experience in a self-contained classroom setting with knowledge of diverse disabilities.
Ability to collaborate effectively with related services professionals, colleagues, and parents / guardians.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
