Westlake Royal Building Products Windows Division is actively seeking a self-driven, energetic and dynamic Accounting Manager.
Reporting to the Division Controller, the Accounting Manager is a key functional expert in our A&F organization. This role is responsible for overseeing all Accounting and Finance aspects related to assigned plants.
Additionally, the Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in managing the Division’s FP&A function, supporting the windows business team in driving performance improvement and executing our strategic plan.
Duties And Responsibilities
May include, but are not limited to, the following :
Operational Accounting
- Ensure closing is done timely for responsible team. Tasks include reviewing JEs, P / L and B / S as well as timely resolving closing related issues with operations.
- Supervise all aspects of the accounting for assigned plants including the entirety of the P&L, Manufacturing Statement and all Balance Sheet accounts.
- Supervise all aspects of finance activities for assigned plants, including forecasting, variance analysis and annual budget preparation.
- Supervise the preparation of related data request and analysis for operations, HIP and corporate. This would include reports to support external financial reporting, tax and internal audit.
- Work closely and partner with key members of the windows business team on continuous improvement projects.
- Work closely with external & internal auditors. Ensure satisfactory financial controls, reviews and corporate SOX compliance for assigned windows plants, including tracking and leading remediation of internal control deficiencies for assigned plants.
Division Financial Planning & Analysis
- Manage and oversee Division FP&A activities including forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis.
- Spearhead the annual budget process for Windows and coordinate with Corporate FP&A group.
- Manage and oversee Division BPC related activities including COA mapping, integration, reconciliation, validation, required reporting and changes made based on business needs.
Other Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop two Senior Accountants and one Financial Analyst. Manage resource allocation, training, performance evaluation and build effective team dynamics.
- Influence, impact and collaborate with A&F team to drive process improvements.
- Special projects assigned.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
Education, Experience And Qualifications
- Bachelors in Accounting with at least ten plus years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Manufacturing accounting experience is required.
- Previous experience with FP&A is required.
- MBA or finance degree a plus.
- ERP, particularly JD Edwards work experience preferred, but not required.
- Must be proficient with spreadsheet programs, including Excel.
- Previous supervisory experience is also required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel;
reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. This position may occasionally be asked to visit the manufacturing operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel up to 10% including air or auto travel.
