Senior Digital Marketing Conversion Tracking Manager
We are currently seeking a Senior Digital Marketing Conversion Tracking Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for developing a tagging / tracking / analytics strategy, and implementing and maintaining conversion tracking tools to monitor website and ad performance.
This role is also responsible for creating comprehensive reports and analysis to provide insights into conversion metrics and user behavior.
Develops and implements conversion tracking strategies based on industry best practices and emerging trends. This position also serves as a mentor and example for other team members supporting continuous improvement initiatives and coaching from department supervisors and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Implements, configures, and maintains conversion tracking tools to monitor website and ad performance ensuring accurate data collection from various online channels.
- Utilizes tag management systems to deploy and manage tracking tags efficiently, maintaining consistency across websites and platforms.
- Creates comprehensive reports to provide insights into conversion metrics and user behavior.
- Analyzes data to identify conversion bottlenecks and areas for improvement, and provides actionable recommendations to marketers for improvements and tests.
- Diagnoses and resolves tracking issues promptly to ensue data accuracy and reliability.
- Conducts regular testing to verify the accuracy of tracking implementations. Implements A / B testing and other methodologies to optimize conversion rates.
- Maintains comprehensive documentation of tracking configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing within the Marketing team.
- Ideates, develops, and implements conversion tracking strategies based on industry best practices and emerging trends.
- Creates and maintains documentation of Google Tag Manager setup and Google Analytics 4 to identify any issues, including double firing events and inaccurate conversions.
- Ensures the conversion events and attribution are accurately set up across Google platforms. Adjusts dashboards on Google Ads and Analytics to reflect the right conversion events and to ensure the reports are set up for accuracy.
- Stays abreast of industry trends, changes in tracking technologies, and best practices. Implements updates to tracking tools to align with the latest standards.
- Ensures compliance with privacy regulations and industry standards related to data collection and tracking practices.
- Ensures Marketing team is educated on proper tracking practices, promoting a culture of data driven decision-making within the company.
- Serves as a mentor and example for other team members, a first-line peer resource, supporting ongoing training and development of team, continuous improvement efforts and initiatives, and coaching from department leadership.
- Maintains commitment to the successful achievement of team and organizational goals through a desire to participate with and help other members of the team.
- Assists in the accomplishment of Insperity Company goals.
- Helps other employees to accomplish Insperity Company goals.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by department supervisor.
- Participates in the Disaster Recovery plan as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Business, a related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.
- Five to seven years of experience in Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 are required.
- Applicable certifications in Google tagging, tracking, and analytics tools are preferred.
- Proven expertise in Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4.
- Strong knowledge in tracking methods, data layer manipulation, and the transformation and usage of custom JavaScript to Google Tag Manager.
- High-level of expertise on Tags implementation and troubleshooting.
- Solid knowledge of Google Analytics APIs.
- Proven experience in setting up conversion tracking and creating reports using analytics tools.
- Strong understanding of web design principles and the ability to create visually appealing and conversion-focused designs.
- Proficiency in technical aspects of website optimization and ad campaign management.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills with a focus on improving conversion rates.
- Ability to guide and mentor other team members
