Overview
The Publicist serves as the primary voice of Pacific Health Group to the public—crafting, distributing, and managing all external communications, media relationships, and brand messaging. This role is pivotal in increasing public awareness of our mission, shaping our reputation, and ensuring that our programs, services, and successes are well represented in the media. The Publicist will oversee press releases, manage media inquiries, develop storytelling content, coordinate interviews, and foster strong relationships with journalists, influencers, and community leaders.
Responsibilities
- Write, edit, and distribute press releases, media advisories, and public statements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all media inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Proactively pitch story ideas to local, regional, and national outlets to increase coverage of Pacific Health Group initiatives.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, bloggers, and industry influencers.
- Ensure all public communications align with Pacific Health Group's mission, values, and brand voice.
- Develop compelling narratives and human-interest stories that highlight the impact of our services.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify newsworthy initiatives, program milestones, and community impact stories.
- Partner with program and outreach teams to promote events, community health fairs, and press conferences.
- Coordinate media attendance and arrange on-site coverage.
- Oversee photography, videography, and live social media updates during key events.
- Work with the communications team to amplify press coverage across social platforms.
- Monitor media mentions and online conversations related to Pacific Health Group.
- Develop shareable content that reflects current campaigns and public health initiatives.
- Assist in developing and implementing departmental communication strategies.
- Prepare holding statements, FAQs, and media briefings to ensure consistent messaging during high-profile situations.

Requirements
