myflorida.com / ) Open Competitive This is a 6 month open posting Your Specific Responsibilities : + Serve clients in the Refugee Health and Immunizations Programs under the direct supervision a Community Health Nursing Supervisor and the licensed physician.
Supports other clinics, as needed. + Administer immunizations to adults and children to include rabies, influenza, pneumonia, and other vaccines as required to comply with the State of Florida and FDOH - Osceola policies and procedures.
- Accurately enter all data required in Florida Shots per program requirements to include immunizations history and vaccines administered into the FL SHOTS Registry.
- Complete all appropriate immunization forms required by the State of Florida for all schools, day cares, and DOH programs including but not limited to DH 680 forms.
- Maintain and update temperature logs for the Refugee Health and Immunizations clinics' refrigerators and freezers daily and notifies when discrepancies occur for out-of-range temperatures.
- Accurately enter and maintains vaccines tracking logs for all program inventories and compliance to include 01, 05, 18, 09, and 17 programs and assist in daily inventory reconciliation activities, as needed.
- Maintain clinic rooms clean and stocked for use at any time. + Provide education and training to nursing students during clinical rotations as well educating new hires.
- Participate in programs awareness, education, and community health fairs, as needed. + Attend in-service educational sessions, staff meetings, and necessary classes for professional development or required training.
Perform other duties as necessary and / or assigned. + Ensure timely submission of time sheets and EARS information as appropriate.
Provide nursing services as required during disasters. Work before, during and / or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency.
Emergency duty required working in special needs or Red Cross shelters, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : K nowledge of nursing principles, practices and techniques. Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
Ability to administer prescribed medications. Ability to provide direct patient care and treatment. Ability to work with patients having a variety of physical problems.
