Installer : Tech-Infused Craftsmanship

Octagon Talent, in collaboration with ITRADE STEM, is in search of future specialty tradesmen and women who are passionate about creating visually stunning and impactful designs for various surfaces, including vehicles, buildings, and stadiums.

We are looking for an ambitious, dedicated, and skilled Installer to join our client company's team. This role is ideal for someone who has a keen eye for detail, strong manual dexterity, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship for a new apprenticeship program located in Broward County, FL.

Key Responsibilities :

Installation of Vinyl Wraps and Digital Signs

• Vinyl Wraps : Install vinyl wraps on diverse surfaces such as cars, buses, airplanes, boats, stadiums, and buildings.
• Signs & Banners : Ensure proper installation of large advertising banners and signs, including those on large structures like stadiums.

Training and Apprenticeship

• Training Program : Undergo a comprehensive training period (approximately one year) to become proficient in installation techniques.
• Apprenticeship : Participate in apprenticeship programs to develop necessary skills and knowledge.

Quality and Safety Assurance

• High Standards : Follow detailed installation instructions to maintain high quality and safety standards.
• Inspections : Conduct pre- and post-installation inspections to ensure the quality of work.

Project Management and Material Usage

• Timelines : Manage project timelines and material usage effectively.
• Inventory Management : Document and manage inventory, including wrap materials used per project.

Customer Interaction and Professionalism

• Client Relations : Maintain a professional demeanor during installations, especially when interacting with clients.
• Detail-Oriented : Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality installations.

Soft Skills and Adaptability

• Precision : Be detail-oriented and capable of following directions precisely.
• Versatility : Adapt to different job sites and conditions.

Technical and Physical Requirements

• Work at Heights : Comfortable working at heights and using ladders or other equipment.
• Manual Dexterity : Proficient with hands-on tasks and handling installation tools and materials.

Documentation and Reporting

• Photographic Evidence : Take photographs of the installation process, including before, during, and after shots.
• Record-Keeping : Maintain accurate records of installations and materials used.

Collaboration with Graphics and Sales Teams

• Teamwork : Work closely with the graphics department to ensure designs are implemented correctly.
• Client Expectations : Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and deliver accordingly.

Qualifications :

Hands-On Experience and Skills

• Manual Dexterity : Skilled with hands-on tasks and good manual dexterity.
• Relevant Experience : Experience in similar fields such as construction or other trades can be beneficial.

Training and Certifications

• Training Period : A training period of about a year is typically required before becoming officially qualified as an installer.
• Certification : 3M Master Certification or equivalent certifications are highly valued. Opportunities for obtaining these certifications are provided after gaining practical experience.
• Apprenticeship Programs : Participation in our apprenticeship program is necessary to develop required skills.

Education

• Vocational Training : Relevant vocational training or trade school education can be an advantage.
• College Education : Not mandatory but can be beneficial.

Physical Requirements

• Physical Fitness : Must be physically fit to handle the job's demands, including working at heights and using equipment.
• Heavy Lifting : Capable of lifting and handling heavy materials and equipment.
