Key job responsibilities

A successful Principal Product Manager Technical should :

  • Be highly autonomous with strong business judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Have strong customer obsession and know how to use qualitative and quantitative data to justify product intuition.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills and can influence cross organizations at the VP level.
  • An ideal candidate for this role has extensive experience in delivering customer facing features through science and engineering innovations.
  • In this role, you will partner with SDEs, Scientists, Technical Program Managers and UX designers to create game changing customer experiences.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teams
  • Experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • 3+ years of experience in working with science teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience interpreting and communicating analytics
  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
  • Familiar with online experimentation, e.g., A / B testing.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900 / year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
