As the first R&D hire in the United States, you will become the point-person for everything 'Clinical Development' - for one of the hottest, most-advanced surgical technology companies in the world.
By creating, constantly improving and delivering a best-in-class Human Factors Engineering process; this position as 1st R&D person on the ground, allows a level of autonomy and influence on surgical medical device development that not many other opportunities will.
As the business inevitably grows, so will your responsibility!
Your expert understanding of medical device development processes will be crucial, as you identify important new clinical application targets, through research, analysis and attendance of real clinical cases in the operating room.
As the Senior Clinical Development Engineer, you will be in a hybrid function (50 / 50 home versus office / O.R demo room) responsible for R&D Prototype, Demos & Study, feedback collection with key Surgeon customers - all adhering with regulatory and quality standards, working closely alongside your colleagues across RAQA departments.
Building relationships with key opinion leaders and other members of specialist surgical communities, will be critical in order to stay up-to-date with ever-evolving clinical trends.
You will also attend congresses across the US & Internationally as one of the most important Clinical Engineering members of the team.

Your experience will look like this :
- 5+ years as R&D / Clinical Development Engineer within Surgical Devices in the Operating Room
- Experience and expert understanding of Human Factors Engineering test studies
- Comfortable & experienced in training Surgical staff, on the use of innovative Surgical Device
- Experience in product approval and regulatory process
- Proven ability to write clinical documentation
- Ideally Masters educated in Biomedical Engineering or other relevant Scientific Degree
- Able to travel across the US & Globally
