credit-bearing courses : $1,500 to $5,000 per section

non-credit : 10-30% of enrollment fee per enrollment

Position description

UC Merced Extension is seeking experienced and qualified candidates to provide instruction in closely related fields of Community and Public Health.

Courses may be offered in academic credit and non-credit options.

Examples of Closely Related Fields :

Public Health

Community Health Worker (CHW)

Medical Assisting

In-Home Support Services

In addition to teaching the course(s), the instructor is responsible for creating a syllabus, holding weekly office hours (2 hours / week), and grading examinations and / or papers.

Fall Term : 8 / 1 / 2023 - 12 / 31 / 2023

Spring Term : 1 / 1 / 2024 - 5 / 31 / 2024

Summer Term : 6 / 1 / 2024 - 7 / 31 / 2024

UC Merced Extension anticipates hiring multiple part-time instructors for the courses listed above throughout the academic year based on the course sections scheduled and / or planned.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications

As a UNEX Instructor in Community and Public Health, you will bring :

• a master's degree in related field as designated topic area
• minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the closely related field or publish research in the closely related field
• demonstrated theoretical and practical knowledge in the designated topic area

Preferred qualifications

experience teaching or providing professional development in the closely related field
