The Purpose of the Life Safety Ministry (LSM) is to provide a safe and secure environment at Victory Church, conducive to discipleship, worship, and fellowship.
RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
- Assumes all duties and responsibilities of Life Safety Ministry in absence of Security Director.
- Serve as primary point of contact for campus LSM volunteer and contract personnel including security, Health and Wellness, third-party contractors and law enforcement.
- Serve as a coach to team leaders, ensuring they are equipped and fit to lead.
- Serve as department liaison between Victory Church ministries for campus specific activity and special event planning and coordination.
- Collaborate with department administrative assistant to process serving requests, contact and schedule new volunteer orientations, conduct interviews and interest meetings.
- Assist with managing contract and law enforcement teams during services and special events.
- Inspect and maintain medical supplies, Automated External Defibrillators, equipment and training aids, schedules repairs or replacement as necessary.
- Draft and distribute monthly ministry newsletter.
- Responsible for weekly / monthly scheduling of all LSM volunteers and contractor personnel.
- Schedule all global training and meeting events for each of the LSM teams, including all LSM personnel from other campus locations.
- Function as certified Basic Life Support instructor, facilitate approved training curriculum for all LSM personnel including staff, contractors and volunteers.
- Assist with overseeing weekend services by working with team leaders to assign duty posts to volunteer personnel and serving LSM point of contact during incidents.
Security / Armed Services Responsibilities
- Serve as armed member of the Pastoral Protection Team, providing close protection of pastors and special guest during services and special events.
- Provide security escorts to financial personnel during regular collections and deposits.
- Demonstrate proficiency, knowledge of, and possess firearms during performance of all duties.
- Answer and respond to burglar and fire alarms, during or after regular business hours. Assist with the facilitation of fire and evacuation drills throughout the year.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
