Job Summary : Work with pastry chef and team of bakers to provide baked goods for two residential dining halls, Catering Department, staff lounge, and student care packages in a timely fashion.
Essential Functions :
- Following recipes
- Scaling, mixing, baking and packaging baked goods. Some knowledge of metric and imperial baking measurements.
- Labeling, dating and storing foods properly.
- Maintaining correct portion sizes, freshness and quality.
- Stocking retail space with baked goods and maintain the retail space presentation.
- Following cleaning schedule as provided by management. Also, utilizing the clean as you go techniques.
- Maintain an open line of communication with management, informing them of products and supplies needed.
- Follow the uniform dress code and maintain proper personal hygiene.
- Follow Parkhurst gold standards. Uses smile plus hospitality imperatives.
- Assist fellow associates at every opportunity.
- Preform any other duties as assigned by management.
Physical Demands :
- Standing and / or walking 100% of the time
- Occasionally lifting 50lbs
- Frequently lifting up to 20 lbs.
The pay rate for this position is $16.25 / hour with a one dollar increase after 90 days.
