Shifts Available :
- Full-Time : 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, variable schedule
- Part-Time : 24 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, variable schedule
Key Responsibilities :
- Patient Care : Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to post-surgical patients, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout their recovery process.
- Assessment and Monitoring : Perform regular patient assessments, monitor vitals, administer medications, and ensure proper wound care, following physician directives and unit protocols.
- Patient and Family Education : Educate patients and their families on post-surgical care and discharge planning, ensuring they understand recovery plans and follow-up appointments.
- Collaboration : Work collaboratively with surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and positive patient outcomes.
- Documentation : Accurately document patient care activities and progress in electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Emergency Response : Respond to clinical emergencies in the surgical unit promptly, using advanced critical thinking and clinical judgment to provide life-saving interventions.
Required Qualifications :
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Upon hire : Active Washington Registered Nurse License.
- Upon hire : National Provider BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience for RN Resident : Newly licensed RNs with 12 months of experience or less.
- Experience for Acute Care RN : At least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a surgical or acute care setting.
Preferred Qualifications :
National Certification in a surgical specialty or relevant area of nursing expertise.
Skills and Abilities :
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to adapt to variable shifts and work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
