Student Loan Repayment : This Registered Nurse (RN) position is eligible for Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money.

Job Summary

The Department of Nursing at Avera McKennan requires all nurses to practice at a competent level of nursing care and demonstrate a competent and professional level of behavior in his / her role as a RN.

The American Nurses Associations (ANA) scope and standards of practice are exemplified within the position description. The Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide nursing care for the patient.

He / she assumes responsibility and accountability for his / her individual actions and outcomes of patient care delivered on his / her shift.

Education and / or Experience

• Graduating from an approved nursing program.
• Pending Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and / or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required.
• Strongly encouraged to complete life-saving education specific to specialty area.
• Certification in specialty preferred

Work Schedule -

• Hours : 7a-7 : 30p, 7p-7 : 30a - rotating shifts
• Hires into an immediate every 3rd weekend, every 3rd holiday rotation. Every other weekend rotation is possible, if desired.
• Additional, elective incentive options include premiums for straight weekends and / or straight night agreements.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $32.00 - $46.50 per hour
• Shift Differential : $3 for hours worked between 7p and 7am, $2 on weekends, and $5 on weekend nights
• Additional, elective incentive options include premiums for straight weekends and / or straight night agreements
