In this role, you will plan and manage marketing activities, resources, and schedules for positive, creative, and successful accomplishment of proposal production, public relations / advertising, and marketing / sales objectives of the business units or group.
Job Responsibilities :
- Manage the proposal plan, draft storyboards, and proposal / win strategy
- Manage proposal meetings, assignments, and proposal plans
- Manage blue team, pink team and red team review meetings and approve proposal material in response to review and requests
- Manage proposal process involving graphics and visuals to submittal
- Manage post-submittal activities to ensure close-out
- Manage the interview and presentation generation and preparation
- Independently lead the coordination and preparation of proposals of all sizes
- Provide heavy support to and / or take ownership of proposal sections of major strategic pursuits
- With no supervision, coordinate, write, edit / tailor, and perform research for non-technical proposal sections; ensure compliance;
proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate potential issues / variances
- Lead proposal kick-off meetings and other milestone meetings
- Understand business objectives, priorities, and sales strategy, especially as they relate to the proposal process
- Serve as a subject matter expert on, advocate, and actively follow SOC procedures, policies, protocols, and best practices, including standard file management and archiving procedures, as well as Branding Guidelines
- May act as a group resource and trainer for SOC best practices, policies, and procedures
- Coach, mentor, and / or provide pursuit oversight to junior staff within SOC
Education / Experience :
Bachelor's degree (marketing, communications, English, journalism, or business administration) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with 8+ years of experience in the Architecture / Engineering / Construction (AEC) industry preferred
Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications :
- Experienced understanding of Federal Government processes and procedures
- Strategic mindset and sound judgment to identify gaps in pursuits and proposals and coach team on solutions
- Ability to implement marketing and business development principles
- Solid understanding of AEC industry terminology and procedures
- Leadership experience in a collaborative team environment
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong editing capabilities
- Excellent management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
- Advanced understanding of graphic design and production
- Advanced organization and leadership skills to manage challenging opportunities
- Ability to prioritize and communicate what is most important for the success of the business
Environmental factors and / or Physical Requirements :
While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations;
and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds.
Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application / form information.
The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
