About The Position
Job Title : Vascular Coordinator Job Specialty : Contract Job Duration : 9 months Shift : Day - 5x7.5 - 9 am to 5 pm Guaranteed Hours : 37.
5 per week Experience : 1 year experience performing ultrasounds preferred License : Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) Certifications : RDMS by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Must-Have : Intermediate MS Office Suite Job Description : Perform basic and advanced ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols.
- Review physicians' interpretations and patient files, and monitor patients.- Assist in the performance of interventional procedures.
- Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, positioning, and imaging techniques to optimize ultrasound image quality.- Capture images onto the PACS system and transfer images to physician workstations.
- Evaluate images before releasing patients to ensure the study is diagnostic.- Prepare exam rooms for procedures by managing inventory and stock prior to the radiologist’s arrival.
- Participate in quality control, quality assurance, and improvement activities, documenting efforts accordingly.- Inform appropriate personnel of any equipment failures, documenting the issue and associated downtime.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment to comply with infection control and departmental protocols.- Operate and care for testing equipment.
- Provide patient education related to specific ultrasound studies.- Ensure the safety of patients and family members.- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, family members, and other employees.
- Perform other related duties as required.
