Job Title : Health Information Technician Job Specialty : Staff Augmentation Job Duration : 52 weeks Shift : Day - 5x8 - 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM, 40 Hours Guaranteed Hours : Not Specified Experience : Not Specified License : Not Specified Certifications : Not Specified Must-Have : Strong written and verbal communication skills- Ability to work in a challenging environment- Customer service orientation- Flexibility to cover short-staffed units Job Description : Perform routine administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations in medical offices and nursing floors.
- Answer phone calls and take verbal orders.- Order supplies and maintain inventory levels to support patient care.- Ensure the availability of necessary equipment like wheelchairs, crutches, and braces.
- Identify and address issues with equipment functionality and inventory levels.- Unpack, check, and resolve discrepancies in received supplies.
- Conduct cycle counts and respond to order-related inquiries.- Retrieve requisitions from the electronic supply system, fulfill orders, and deliver them to the requesting department.
- Pack and manage supplies for returns or dispatch.- Ensure accuracy of return labels and rotate stock using the First In First Out rule.
- Document and manage expired items.- Maintain records for inventory issuance and PAR location.- Monitor inventory levels, replenish stock, and forecast supply and demand needs.
- Liaise with vendors to ensure quality stock purchases and coordinate logistics for purchase orders.- Track orders to prevent overstocking and out-of-stock situations.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify and resolve issues.- Generate reports on purchases, pricing, supply chain analysis, and inventory management.
- Conduct regular stock checks and report issues to supervisors.- Maintain and update records of orders, pricing, and inventory.
