Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
Location : Plano, TX
Shift : 12-Hour Days (7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM)
Schedule : 3 Shifts Per Week (36 Hours)
Salary Range : $32 - $53 per hour
Job Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This unit specializes in heart, lung, and vascular patient care, operating under a Universal Bed Model that covers TelePCU to CVICU.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with heart, lung, and vascular conditions in a Cardiovascular Universal Bed Model unit.
Administer care for patients recovering from cardiovascular surgeries, including managing devices such as CRRT, Balloon Pumps, Impella, and Lumbar drains.
Perform detailed patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and administer medications and treatments according to care plans.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care, from telemetry to ICU levels of care.
Educate patients and their families on their health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in electronic medical records.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and shared governance to enhance patient outcomes and care quality.
Qualifications :
Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
Minimum of 1 year (preferably 2 years) of recent full-time experience in a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU).
Strong knowledge of hemodynamics, cardiovascular ICU procedures, and medications.
