Job Description :

The Experienced Staff Accountant will report to the Senior Accounting Manager in a key role within the General Ledger team for WeDriveU and will be responsible for managing a high volume of cash transactions, fleet inquiries, and monthly close process execution.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Manage daily cash transactions, make deposits, and keep an accurate record of all transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations and journal entries for cash, intercompany, and other transactions.
• Communicate with Payroll and AP departments to ensure payments are accurately recorded.
• Use online banking portal to enter positive pay on all checks.
• Assist in monthly / quarterly / annual close process and financial statement preparation ensuring proper documentation and supporting detail is maintained.
• Maintain fixed assets, depreciation, and vehicle leasing schedules.

Skills Required and Physical Demands :

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with ability to work independently.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and familiarity with journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Ability to use multiple systems including Acumatica, Stampli, Microsoft Suite, and Google Docs.
• Ability to evaluate and prioritize workload while meeting tight deadlines.
• Highly self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to grow into additional complexity and responsibility.
• Excellent detail orientation, including ability to effectively operate in a high volume transactional environment.

Education and Qualifications :

Hard requirements :

This role requires a strong knowledge of accounting and Excel. The individual in this role will gain exposure to process improvement, system integrations and upgrades, and public-company (IFRS) accounting.

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in an accounting / finance position.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

Preferred Requirements :

Licensed CPA or CPA exam eligible is preferred.
