Pharmacy Technician
HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Pharmacy Technician to fill an opening with a growing specialty pharmacy dedicated to serving their members with compassion in Madison, WI .
Daily Responsibilities for Pharmacy Technician :
- Responsible for answering the inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Responsible for contacting doctors to obtain necessary prescription information to properly fill a prescription.
- Responsible for managing the queues and working oldest orders first
- Responsible for the correct shipment of the specialty pharmacy orders.
- May be responsible for ensuring adequate inventory of pharmaceuticals in the pharmacy, including ordering, receipt, verification of orders, and stocking of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
- The Employee will act in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws and with the highest ethical standards that we consistently strive to achieve.
Thus, legal and ethical compliance is an essential duty of each employee
- Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
- Shift : Mon-Fri 7am-7pm (Typically have a rotating schedule : Monday 7am to 3 : 30pm, Tues-Thurs 8 : 30-5pm, Fridays 10 : 30-7pm - the company rotates the late shift so the same person does not have the late shift every Friday)
Required Qualifications for Pharmacy Technician :
- High School Diploma or GED
- Pharmacy Technician license
- 2+ years pharmacy experience here
Preferred Qualifications for Pharmacy Technician :
PTCB and NHA preferred
