Field Service Technician
Salary : Based on Experience
Location : Sterling Heights
Travel : up to 75% (locally and nationally, to customer sites)
DIRECT HIRE
Field Service Technician needed for a local machine tool builder and a global supplier of innovative CNC machines for various industries.
This position will report to the Sterling Heights, MI office daily, however, there will be daily travel to customer locations.
Duties :
- Perform Electrical and Mechanical repairs of CNC Machines
- Perform function tests and any other relevant work to ensure quality repairs
- Perform machine set up and installation
- In-house machine repair and maintenance
- In-house machine start up and testing
Requirements & Qualifications :
- Strong Electrical and Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems both mechanical and electrical
- Strong Electrical troubleshooting skills both high and low voltage
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Willingness to travel. Travel to local, domestic and international locations. Valid driver's license is required.
- Self-motivator with strong attention to detail
- Commitment to being a team player with flexible, positive, adaptive approach to resolving problems, schedules and changes
- Great interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work well with demanding customers in a tight tolerance environment
- Good computer skills and knowledge of Windows OS
