Job Opportunity : Director of Nursing (SNF / Long Term Care)

About the Opportunity : One of our top clients is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to lead a skilled nursing facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality care to residents.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee all aspects of nursing care, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive care plans for residents in collaboration with intrdisciplinary teams.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop skilled nursing staff.
  • Foster a positive and supportive work environment to promote employee engagement and retention
  • Manage nursing budgets and resources effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless resident care.
  • Maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident outcomes.

Qualifications :

  • Unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in state
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong clinical expertise and knowledge of skilled nursing care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records and other relevant software.
