POSITION TITLE : Branch Manager
Location : Dundee, Florida
CLASSIFICATION : Exempt
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
POSITION REPORTS TO : SVP Retail Banking Administrator
POSITIONS SUPERVISED : Several depending on the specific branch.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Branch Manager is responsible for leading their team to meeting and exceeding loan & deposit growth goals, expected service levels, and the daily operations of the office as well as interaction with other lines of business within the bank. This position is responsible for developing new and expanding existing customer relationships. The manager is responsible for supervising and coaching their team while role modeling desired behaviors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Open and maintain customer relationships;
- Coach referral opportunities-gain customer commitment and close the sale;
- Manage overall aspects of running an efficient and productive office;
- Support sales associates as needed-serve as a reference to other team members;
- Computer skills;
- Demonstrate quality customer service-serve as a role model to team;
- Sound decision-making ability;
- Assist Head Teller & Assistant Manager;
- Accept and process loan applications as well as closing the loan once processed;
- Lead the Team by example;
- Business Development Calls;
- Experience with commercial and small business customers preferred.
- We both expect and encourage our managers to participate in local, in market civic and community clubs and organizations such as Rotary, Kiwanis or the Chamber of Commerce. There may be other bank-wide events our managers are asked to participate in after hours or on weekends to support the bank.
OTHER SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
Thorough knowledge of products and services offered by the Bank;Be familiar with the federal regulations and the impact on the Bank if such regulations are not followed;Well versed in both operational and lending policies and procedures and should be able to communicate and implement to the team.Requires ability to effectively multi-task and sound decision-making ability;Demonstrate quality customer service and phone etiquette.Ability to manage deposit and loan goals while demonstrating assertiveness and leadership.Prior lending experience.Oversee monthly branch auditsExperience in reviewing financial statements and evaluating the needs of small business and commercial customers preferred.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position supervises as many as 25 or as few as 3 employees depending on the size of the branch.
EDUCATION & / OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) required.4 years college or equivalent experience in bankingManagement experienceLending experienceComputer literacy preferred. Knowledge of Word & Excel a plus.QUALIFICATIONS

To process transactions, handle cash, inspect negotiable instruments and operate required teller equipment, the employee is required to stand for long periods of time and they must possess satisfactory vision and hand / finger dexterity to perform the job duties. At times an employee might need to utilize step stools / small ladders necessitating the ability to climb, balance, kneel, stoop, bend and reach. Employee might be required to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Professional environment working 40 hours per week; may need to work overtime hours when asked. Must be accustomed to professional, business office environment in manner and dress. Must demonstrate excellent human relations skills with customers and bank associates.
