POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Human Resources Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration and coordination of the human resource function for an assigned group of employees.
This role will ensure compliance with state / federal regulations, employee relations, talent acquisition and staff development, risk management, and strategic partnership with leadership.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Acts as a resource to employees and management for policies, benefit programs, and employment-related procedures.
- Partners with the SVP of Hman Resources and Chief Administrative Officer to manage, review and design corporate-wide policies.
- Actively manages talent acquisition process; manages requisitions and candidate offers; recruits for new and vacant positions, supports management team in reviewing and interviewing candidates
- Manages pre-employment process, including the screening process, processing IT requests, and ensures compliance with company, state, and federal, requirements in hiring practices.
- Participates in new employee orientation and onboarding of all new employees, including scheduling new hires for orientation and acting as a liaison between managers and their new hires during the onboarding process.
- Ensures compliance with company, state, and federal employment laws; actively monitors changed or updated regulations and implements revised practices as needed.
- Navigates employee issues and concerns, including but not limited to questions, complaints, performance management, corrective action, investigations, and terminations.
- Maintains employee personnel files in compliance with applicable regulations and company standards; keeps employee records up-to-date in HRIS and IT systems by processing employee status changes in a timely fashion.
- Ensures that all employees are compliant with their specific training plan.
- Acts as a strategic HR partner with all leaders within their assigned corporate group
- Acts as a helpful partner with the other members of the HR team to provide support where needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education :
- Bachelors degree preferred but not required.
- Certification from HRCI or SHRM preferred.
Experience :
- 5+ years of human resources experience required.
- Experience working within the ADP Workforce Now platform preferred.
- Experience working in healthcare or other state regulated / accredited industry preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment regulations; ability to analyze regulations and apply to organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational time management.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Utilizes the time management skills necessary to perform duties in a remote work environment.
- Knowledge of computer applications, including MS Office 365, is required.
- Knowledge of office administration, project management, and employment regulation concepts required.
