Job Purpose
Responsible for planning, executing, and documenting product and non-product software test activities in compliance with medical device regulations to ensure exceptional software product quality.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with software test lead to conduct complex software testing activities including design and execution of software test plans and test cases to ensure that the software meets quality, reliability, and design requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups to gain a comprehensive understanding of software systems and independently create clear and effective test scenarios.
- Perform integration level testing of software within software / hardware systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to medical device software test projects (work instructions, test execution artifacts, traceability matrices, process checklists, etc.).
- Assist in identifying and reporting software defects. Collaborate with team members to validate and verify issue resolutions.
- Perform task estimation and provide proactive, transparent, and concise communication on project status.
- Learn about API automation tools and contribute to creating automated tests for APIs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.2+ years of professional experience in software engineering with a focus on testing.Experience testing mobile applications (Android preferred).Experience with Agile methodologies using tools such as JIRA.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team with a mindset of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.Preferred : experience at a medical device company, or in a highly regulated field.Physical requirements
Ability to operate applicable test equipment in an office and laboratory setting.Location
Onsite, Westfield Indiana.
