Maintenance Technician - Job Summary :
We’re supporting our client, a leading manufacturer of automotive components based in Macomb, Michigan who are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their growing team.
The successful Maintenance Technician will have experience of working within a high-volume automotive parts manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities :
- Perform maintenance activities on equipment per task tracking and downtime.
- Complete repair maintenance activities on CNC Lathes / Mills, General Machines and Hobbers / Shapers, robots and automation.
- Participate in problem solving and product teams
- Troubleshoot chronic machine and electrical problems
- Assist with operator training of PM activities
- Conduct new hire orientation for Maintenance (as designated)
- Housekeeping of tool room area
- If capable or directed, wire equipment, do PLC implementation and program management.
- Follow Housekeeping, Safety (lockout / tagout) & Environmental requirements (recycling, labeling, spills and programs)
- Comply with all applicable requirements for the Quality and Environmental Systems
- Continuous improvement ideas in safety, productivity, quality, housekeeping-submit to supervisor or HR Box
- Other duties as defined by your supervisor
About You :
- Experience with CNC Lathes / Mills / Grinders with Fanuc controls
- Familiar with Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
- Mechanical abilities
- Electrical / PLC / Relays optional
- 5.Knowledge and use of tool room equipment
