Sales Tax Analyst / Hybrid - 72K to 83K B
We are currently seeking a Sales Tax Analyst for a well recognized local organization. The Sales Tax Analyst role will report into the Tax Manager and will provide support for sales tax compliance for all locations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare all sales tax compliance analyses and returns meeting remittance deadlines.
- Research and maintain all sales tax compliance elements, and sales tax rates.
- Incorporate sales tax remittance activity into relevant forecasting efforts.
- Administer sales tax audits
- Establish and maintain procedures to ensure use tax compliance
- Administer jurisdictional notices and correspondence related to transactional tax compliance
- Administer transaction tax record retention requirements
- Assist with other tax compliance initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (will also consider Associates in Accounting with right experience)
- 2-5 years sales tax, or similar transaction tax compliance experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP data interface functionality
- Sales Tax research experience.
- Ability to meet multiple recurring deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
- Detail oriented with a problem solving mind-set
- Demonstrated planning and organization skills
