About The Position

ID : 50699917 Shift : Evenings 5x8.0 Description : Short Supply TechnicianShift : Monday - Friday 1500 - 2330 weekends and holidays rotating based on departmentHiring Manager : Jamie Debois : Must have successfully completed a nationally accredited central service technician exam and certifiedas a Central Service Teclmician OR evidence of employment as a Central Service Technician in ahealthcare facility for a period of one (1) year.

Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.Duties : Responsible for effective and safe decontamination, disinfection, washing, assembly and sterilization ofinstruments and trays used for procedures in the Operating Room and other clinical areas of Upstate.

Uses principles of aseptic technique, performance of quality check with accuracy and reliability. Overseeand operate equipment or deaning and disinfecting of surgical equipment.

Oversee and participate inthe assembly of complex as well as simple surgical sets. Operate equipment for the sterilization ofcomplex and simple surgical sets using steam under pressure, Steris, and Sterrad.

Record the monitorof sterilization and decontamination of equipment. Respond to urgent and emergent requests fromclinical personnel.
