Position Overview : The Project Engineer is responsible for providing engineering and technical support for construction projects.
The Project Engineer will oversee the daily operations of the project, and will be responsible for planning, scheduling, budgeting, and managing project resources.
They will work closely with the construction managers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and within the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide engineering expertise to ensure the successful execution of construction projects
- Manage and coordinate the design and development phases of construction projects
- Develop plans, schedules, budgets, and performance specifications for construction projects
- Monitor and control project progress, costs, and quality
- Manage the technical aspects of project execution including design reviews, plan reviews, planning, scheduling, and materials management
- Provide technical direction to subcontractors and other project stakeholders
- Prepare and review change orders, RFIs, shop drawings, and submittals
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and laws
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all safety regulations
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in Engineering and Construction of Heavy Civil Construction, Asphalt Paving, Roads, and Highways
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, codes, and regulations
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
